As Treasurer and then President of Sangam, an Asian American advocacy and discussion group, I worked on a team where we organized monthly discussion workshops and large-scale semesterly speaker events focused on the different issues and experiences that minorities face.
My responsibilities included: fundraising, coordinating and planning events, inviting speakers, creating marketing collaterals, engaging in community outreach, ideating and creating themes for discussions and reforming the structure of workshops to be more interactive and engaging. During my tenure as President, we won the Outstanding Student Organization of the Year Award from the Pan Asian American Community House.
